Reiki is an automatic process which will flow to the area that is needed.
A full Reiki treatment will normally last for about an hour during which time the energy will communicate to the higher self of the recipient.
I will ideally attempt to allow the flow for about 3-5 minutes in each of the hand positions. Also remember, Reiki can never cause harm and has a beneficial effect on most causes of disease.
Reiki is especially beneficial to pregnant women and has a relaxing and reassuring effect on the unborn child. Most commonly, Reiki is offered as a non-invasive touch with the hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of torso. The placement of the hands will never be intrusive or inappropriate.
